I am Birgit.

For over 25 years I have been helping people in my practice in Duesseldorf-Flingern and online to find their way out of anxiety and panic spirals. This includes, for example, fear of exams, presentations, decisions, relationships, confined spaces, terror, dental visits, illness or flying – to name just a few.

Frequent questions

What do I need in order to begin?

You don't have to be inwardly settled or composed first in order to begin. Everything is a process, and it is enough that you are ready to start it. The rest usually develops on its own in our work together.

What happens in the first session?

We do not waste time. I listen carefully, ask the questions that really matter, and look with you at where your fear lives. As soon as I can see what will lead you out of the pattern, we take the first step. Right there, in the same session. You leave not with a plan, but with a real change.

How does a coaching process unfold?

Some coaching processes happen quickly, feel light and lead straight „upwards". Others seem to pass through phases of apparent standstill. Yet others give the impression that setbacks are occurring. Should this happen, we look at it very closely, because my experience has shown me again and again that these moments are telling us we haven't considered something yet, that a sub-aspect of the larger theme has not yet been recognised or worked through, and that the whole thing is therefore happening for a good reason.

How many sessions do I need?

That depends entirely on you and your situation. Some things resolve in three to five sessions, others take longer. My coaching is not a process spanning years. I work in a way that gets you back to acting on your own as quickly as possible – with a clear goal and a clear direction.

Does this also work online?

Very well, in fact. Many of my clients join via video from all across Germany, Austria, Switzerland – sometimes from much further away. The methods work just as well online as they do in my practice in Duesseldorf. What matters is the connection between us – and that comes through the screen too.

I have tried many things already. What is different here?

I hear that often, and I understand it. What is different here: I do not work by the book. I combine exactly what fits you and your situation – from hypnosis, WingWave, NLP, IFS and TRT. We do not stop at understanding. We change.

What happens with a setback?

Setbacks don't really exist. Because: falling back onto something is not possible, since life always moves forward, not backward. So setbacks are in truth signposts. What feels in the first moment like a defeat is valuable information. It shows that a building block in your development is still missing, one that, once it becomes visible and worked through, brings you another step further.

How will I know it is working?

You will often feel it after one or two sessions. The body reacts less strongly, the thoughts grow quieter. What used to make you afraid loses its weight. You notice it because you start doing things again that you had been avoiding – and because you think about the topic less.
